Marvel Comics characters parading around the park, September 2006
The Marvel Comics characters (Spiderman, Green Goblin, Captain America, Wolverine, Storm) were often be seen around the park on their quad bikes.
The Marvel characters were removed from the park on 1 January 2008 as Marvel's contract with Universal expired. It's not yet known how this will affect the Universal Orlando park, where Superhero Island at Islands of Adventure is entirely themed to Marvel Comics characters.
