These seats came from the Dodgers stadium which was built in 1962.

Almost all of the 56,000 mid-1970's vintage garishly colored seats were replaced at the end of the 2005 season with a new color scheme based on the original more muted 1962 colors.

Universal Studios Hollywood has a long history with the Dodgers Stadium.
In 1961, Universal purchased some of the houses from the former Chavez Ravine housing area from the developers of the stadium and the adjacent freeway, and used them as the residential area for To Kill A Mockingbird. One of those houses still remains today, on Elm Street.
The ravine was filled in by earth taken from the top of one of Universal's hills, which enabled the development of the area now occupied by the theme park, CityWalk and the Gibson Amphitheatre.
