Talent - Douglas Trumbull
The
director of the film, Douglas Trumbull, is a pioneer
of optical special effects
technology and has been responsible for the optical effects on many
revolutionary effects movies, from 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968) through Close Encounters
of the Third Kind (1977). His contribution to the technology
of special effects has been immense, and he was responsible for inventing
major
components of the Imax projection system that BTTFTR uses, and is
currently working on greater refinements of the connection between
theme park rides and projected images.
