This independent superhero cult classic was mainly shot in the UK at historic Elstree Studios, with only visual effects reference plates and backgrounds being filmed in New York. All interiors were shot at Elstree, apart from the comic book store and the street outside it which were shot on the back lot at Pinewood Studios.
