Psycho & The Munsters Connection

Okay, I recently watched Psycho and noticed something that I thought was interesting. I borrowed the DVD from my college library and checked it out.

The newel post from the staircase in "Psycho" was later used in the interior set of "The Munsters". Obviously Universal had at least 2 of them, seeing that there are two in "The Munsters". Below is a link to a photo from Psycho:

I recently purchased the two volume Munsters and watched again The Munster's Revenge and recognized that set as being that stage show at Universal. Unfortunately, The Munster's Revenge is pretty bad.

What really shines on this DVD set is the original Munster Go Home widescreen enhanced for your 16x9 TV! The technicolor looks great!
