Hi everyone! I was wondering if anyone here has any pictures or blueprints of the Munsters house, created for So Goes My Love to share. Thanks.

There are may images of the Munster house in the forum postings.
Blueprints are available, from universalstonecutter, presently away on vacation at USH. Check his past posts or flickr site. Use google search "universalstonecutter".

And please don't base your opinions of the set on the house built in Texas. Universal gave them the blueprints and a lot of other information and they still built a really bad looking building.

The stuff Universalstonecutter has is fantastic. I wonder though if the Wayan's brothers film is still in the works? They optioned the idea but I have not heard anything for a few years. How great it would be for them to rebuild the original set? Even if it were a new building. I have not seen the most recent TV movies but was saddened to see that they used different houses. At least the cheeze Munster's Today used the original set.

Thanx,
William

I have visited the house in Texas and spoke to the owner. They had images - not necessarily good blueprints. I forwarded her Universalstonecutter's images for So goes my Love (not a great movie and shows very little of the actual Munster's house imho). Anyway, the house is OK and pretty cool in person. They had to change quite a bit just to make it a real house.

Too bad you could not use ACTUAL measurements of the real one but I am afraid that you would end up with smaller interiors and that it would not be very functional. Inside bigger than outside, see Dr. Who Tardis, Lost in Space Jupiter 2, etc. etc...

So, the one in Waxahachie Texas is certainly an inspiration from the original but not exact for various builder design issues.
