If the rumours are true Harry Potter will be taking up a fair amount of Florida real estate.
However, there are still plenty of other attractions at Orlando.
The shift may be more significant at Hollywood where more attractions will be displaced by the boy wizard.
However the appeal of the Potter movies should not be underestimated - hardcore Universal fans will still have the Studio Tour and some live shows. The technology used in the soon to open Transformers ride and the Harry Potter Forbidden Journey will draw families and dark ride fans along with thrill ride fans, and now that 3d isn't the themed environment treat that it used to be, maybe the time has come for Shrek 4D to be withdrawn...
