Waterworld - Past it's time?

Postby sunblade » Fri Jul 07, 2006 8:30 pm

Okay I hope I don't start any kind of flaming with this but does anyone else think this show is way past it's prime? I mean it's a stunt show based on a flop of a movie. Now granted the stunt show is waaaaaay better than the movie, but couldn't this show be changed to something better. I am for keeping the water them of the show like Miami Vice make the water effects an integral part of the show but ditch the whole Waterworld aspect. Maybe I am worng it just seems to me that a major studio wouldn't want an attraction based on one of it's biggest box office flops. Hope to hear some opinions.

Well, after the recent upgrade, I doubt anything will happen all too soon. The show is a bit old, but has been rated among the best. I don't see something you could really replace it with, to be honest.

well i for one want Waterworld to be at USH forever, because it, to me anyways, is the best show. I love it. I have seen it hundreds of times and it never gets old.
Miami Vice seems like it used to be cool, but Waterworld deffinitely rules.

Just because the critics didn't like the movie , doesn't mean its a bad story. Waterworld is one of my favorite movies of all time.

I mean lots of people liked the A-team, but it had about zero story content.

The show is about ten years old, but it sure doesn't look it, I guess thats the advantage of building a set thats supposed to look like shhh-eet metal.

any way as Jon said with the new updates I dont think universal is replacing it anytime soon.

Besides Ive never been to a waterworld show that wasnt packed.

plus it has huge Explosions......I mean come on
~You think they'll have that on the tour?~

I liked the movie as well. I love the show. I kinda agree it's a bit old. But they should keep running it. At least until a new movie theme could actually take its place. But as of yet, I haven't heard of a good idea. There have been rumors sometime in The Vision Plan, the stage may be built for a large attraction, like Spider-Man. But I think that's wrong. USH needs a great show like this. Plus Spider-Man would also be getting old.

Waterworld

Postby zombie_lover » Wed Nov 28, 2007 6:15 pm

I think that Waterworld is a great show. It's been around for about twelve years and the actors are already amazing that it has lasted that long. I will agree that it is getting a little old, but like someone else said, there isn't anything else to replace it with right now. The show is amazing, the actors work so hard and they get to have fun doing it too. I just hope that when they do decide to change the show, that they will hopefully use the same actors.

When you have photo images like this to look at, why would you pull the plug on such and action packed show. Planes, flames, and good old fashioned fun.
